Catch Up with Ms. O'Leary and Ms. Hooton's Class
4th Class have been working incredibly hard over the last two months in the run up to Christmas break.
In literacy, we’ve been focusing on writing procedures and reports, with everyone making excellent progress in their writing skills. You can see some of our reports at the back of our classroom including a brilliant report by Alayna on Gymnastics and Japan by Jack Cartwright. Our classroom has been buzzing with creativity during art lessons, where the children have created some creative pieces. These include festive chalk and pastel light bulbs, adorable reindeers made using mixed media, and colourful scarfies (selfies with scarves) using an oil pastel resist technique.
PE has been a highlight, with tons of fun during athletics training sessions with our visiting coach. We’ve also had some exciting learning experiences outside the classroom, including a maths workshop at the library. In Irish, we’ve been practicing our conversational skills and are making fantastic progress.
Check out some of our best work in the pictures below – we hope you enjoy seeing what we’ve been up to!
