Ms.Myerscough’s 4th class kicked off maths week with a fun maths trail.
We started in the car park estimating the amount of cars, counting what colour car was most popular and the perimeter of each parking space.
Students went to the yard shortly afterwards and counted windows, investigated at different shapes, used non-standard units to measure window widths and calculated how fast they could run across the yard.
We then moved into the school hall and completed different questions based on the benches.
Finally we went back to the classroom and counted the ridges on the radiator, chair legs etc.
We had lots of fun!
