November in 6th Class

22nd Nov 2024

In November we have been learning all about the engineering of bridges and worked in groups to design and make a sturdy and secure bridge. We finished off procedure writing by following a recipe to make some delicious brownies.

Our class got to participate in a garden project workshop with the Heritage in Schools program. We have been learning all about important people and moments in Ireland's history including all about Daniel O Connell and the Easter Rising of 1916.

Thanks to Dublin Bus we got the chance to visit The Pearse Museum in Rathfarnham and learned about the history of Patrick Pearse, native Irish animals and had a tour of the grounds of St Enda's Park.
